Before you actually continue reading, you may like to know that this page is a bit long-winded! Well, I promised this is the only page that would be!

So, why put in so much troubles to do this? First and foremost reason is the slower pace of miniature modelling here in Singapore. Many factors contributed to this current state and the future for this fascinating hobby to the new generation is not looking good.

The biggest factor is probably the rapid expansion & "infiltration" of Internet & Internet gaming here. I believe I don't have to elaborate further on this point, right? If you are reading this page now, you are very likely addicted to the Internet too in your own way!

Another serious factor is the lack of support from those in this business. Nobody is promoting this hobby genuinely! Hopefully, we can help ourselves thru this site by encouraging more guys to join in this marvellous hobby. By putting up images of top quality modelworks here, we may be able to inspire newcomers to give this a try. This alone is not good enough to turn the tides but it's a good starting point for us to help promote this hobby genuinely.

Also there is an urgent need to correct public misconceptions in Singapore. Huge percentage of Singaporeans still regarded models as TOYS for small kids! This is completely ridiculous! Scale Models when seriously researched with good references & built with delicate efforts are equally good to any kind of visual art. Many famous modellers around the world have already proved this point. But why are we still not considered in the same level to those famous artists in canvas paintings? I believe every modeller can play an important part in correcting this old misconception with more better built models and help induce a strong sense of awareness that we are serious about this three-dimensional art.

The final reason is slightly personal. Skip this if you feel that my viewpoint is questionable. I have tried supporting one local 'professional' hobby shop by contributing some of my completed models in their shop display. Unfortunately, due to an unhappy incident between both sides, they started venting their anger on my stuff by destroying them in their shop! This is extremely hard to bear with (Ouch!) knowing that all your efforts are totally wasted. After this costly lesson, I decided to stop contributing my works to any shop. Therefore, any local modeller that feels like leaving his works in any local hobby shop, THINK TWICE! I still like showing my own works to the public. So, with this site, I can carry on fulfilling my dream without worrying about "battle damages" to my models!

So much for the background, let's go into the details on how we are gonna be different. By using pro-gallery style, we realised that we can put up more images and works in a shorter time frame.

The main topics for this site will be diverse and range from AFV to SCI FICTION. Take a look at our MINIATURE GALLERIA for what we currently have! Actually, they are here because my personal modelling interest revolves around these.

If you have been following this site regularly, you can see the slow evolution of this site from the rough beginning till this date. From a simple crude personal photo gallery site to an international site that offers a complete FORUM COMMUNITY with unlimited channels for each major modelling interest, REFERENCE materials recommendation & short modelling ARTICLES. Together with the establishment of S.T.O.R.M DOMAIN, a proper and legally structured online mail order services to assist modellers in their modelling needs.

This site will continue to evolve with more useful features for all to share & exciting fresh bloods to join in the fun. Of course, this place will definitely not be in this stage now without the help of many including you who choose to visit here!
